The Mariano Castillo Carrasco Association is carrying out the opening of two mass graves in the cemetery of the town of Belchite (Zaragoza), where there are some 150 people shot by local Falangists during the first days of the Spanish Civil War (1936/1939). The archaeologists of this association believe that there may be another eight mass graves, with another 200 people, outside the cemetery of this town in Zaragoza, who suffered in their flesh the Battle of Belchite, one of the cruelest episodes of the Civil War with about 5,000 dead.
