RAFAEL CORREA VISITS OIL DAMAGE IN ECUADORIAN AMAZON

SUCUMBIOS. ECUADOR. On April 27, 2007, the president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, paid a visit to the oil zone of the Ecuadorian Amazon, in which he described as "dramatic" the environmental damage caused by the US oil company Chevron - Texaco in Ecuador and in indigenous peoples and nationalities.
