ARANDA DE DUERO, APRIL, 20, 2014. On Easter Sunday, in Aranda de Duero, Burgos, takes part the traditional ceremony of Descent of the Angel. This year, has been a six years old girl, called, Laura Brogeras, dressed as an angel, who has removed the mourning robe of the Virgin of Our Lady of Mercy, which brotherhood dates of XVI century. The image of christ resurrect stands at the other side of the place to meet the Virgin as a sign of joy. Other places where similar celebrations have been documented are in Ariza of Zaragoza, Peñafiel of Valladolid or Tudela of Navarra, and in southern Ecuador among the Saraguros indigenous people.Photo: Patricio Realpe/ChakanNews
