PÍLLARO, ECUADOR - JANUARY 6: The Píllaro's Devils are back in home after six days of dancing. Píllaro, a small town in the middle of the central Andes in Ecuador, is the owner of this cultural expresion which is a mixture of ryithms and colours that get the attention from both locals and foreigners. The named "Diablada" is a colorful and joyful party, with a unique and rich history that takes place every year between January the 1st and 6th.
To photograph this magic tradition extremely gratifying, there are hundreds of scenes happening at the same time.

The devils, "guarichas", "capariches", line cuples, and the band, all of them are the characters that moves under the rule of the leader or "cabecilla" of each group.
This year 14 groups or "partidas" have danced: Colectivo Minga Cultural Tunguipamba, Chacata El Carmen, Guanguibana, Guanguibana La Paz, La Florida, Marcos Espinel, Rocafuerte, Robalinopamba, San Andrés, Santa Marianita, San Vicente de Quilimbulo, Tunguipamba El Rosal, Diablada Infantil y Escuela Municipal de Danza.
