INTI RAYMI OR HATUN PUNCHA IN COTACACHI

COTACACHI, ECUADOR - 24 JUNE 2021: Members of the indigenous communities neighboring Cotacachi celebrate the Inti Raymi or Hatun Puncha and "take the square" of this town in the highlands of Ecuador, despite the restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the Inti Raymi festivities, several celebrations come together: the June solstice, the end and beginning of the agrarian cycle, the death and birth of time; and the central plaza as a space for exercising the community.
