GREEK ISLANDS CORFU 005.JPG
CORFU, GREECE - JULY 29: The Paleokastritsa Monastery is located in the northwest of the Greek island of Corfu. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Panagia in Greek. The monks who inhabit it are dressed in strict black, which indicates their vow of celibacy. In Kanoni, there is the Monastery of Panagia Vlakherne, built on an islet attached to the ground. The church is dedicated to Our Lady Vlaherna (or Vlachernon) and dates from the 17th century. It is a small, white church with a tile roof and a steeple with a three-story spire. 29, July 2016 (Photo by Patricio Realpe/ChakanaNews)
